Moses Montefiore Synagogue, founded by Eastern European immigrants, is a family-oriented Conservative synagogue. It is the only full-service congregation in the Fox Valley. Our families live in an area that extends south to Fond du Lac, west to Waupaca and north to Green Bay.

The synagogue’s religious school meets on Sundays and Wednesdays, with classes from kindergarten through post b’nai mitzvah. Our students and families receive a wonderfully integrated education of Hebrew, Torah, history, customs and rituals that relate to our needs today in our community. Our youth group meets regularly for social, religious, and community action activities.

Moses Montefiore also offers a wide variety of adult education courses, Hebrew and Basic Judaism classes, and Torah study groups. Classes on Jewish Issues are also offered on an ongoing basis. The synagogue’s Sisterhood and Men’s Club are active arms of the congregation.

Services are held Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m. A Community Shabbat service is held the first Friday evening of the month. The third Friday of each month is “blue jean” Shabbat. Shabbat morning services begin at 9:30 a.m. Our services are egalitarian, using the traditional liturgy and modern interpretations.
